Singer Praiz reacts to N10 million he donated to baby Sumaya

Popular music act, Praiz Adejo also known as Praiz has stated the reason he gave out all of N10 million to save baby Sumaya. Reacting to this when ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted him on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, “Sumaya had already undergone heart surgery. It was so sad seeing her go through all the pains. She is a little girl who shouldn’t suffer. Since the surgery had been done, there is no harm giving money to perfect her health.”

Oshe is used as MTN caller tune. The money was raised in February, though the surgery had already taken place. It took place in 2013. The money donated is for her post surgery treatment and monitoring.”

Information pieced together by ENCOMIUM Weekly revealed that the surgery on the 15 month old baby Sumaya was in late 2013, at Fortis Hospital in Gurgaun, New Delhi, India.

Praiz presented a cheque to the Akibu family on Valentine Day (February 14, 2014) at MTN office. Barrister Ubani, and some MTN officers witnessed the ceremony.

Baby Sumaya was born with a hole in her heart 15 months ago. She was born to Sulaiman Akibu family of Ikorodu Town, Lagos State.

Praiz Adejo made his debut in the music industry after emerging the first runner up in the popular music reality show, Project Fame in 2008. He has some hit songs to his credit including Oshe and Rich & Famous. Praiz is one of the celebrities on MTN pay roll as an ambassador.
