It is with a heart of great gratitude to God for a life well spent, but with a deep sorrow in their hearts, for an irreplaceable loss, that the family of Chief Sunny Igboanuzue announces the death of their mother, mother in-law and grandmother, Mrs Susannah Amaonunwa, Nwanyinkwo Nnodu. (Nee Okeke).
Popularly known as “Aru ka Akwa Mma”—The Body is more to be valued than clothes—Madam Susannah, passed on to higher glory at the age of 70.
A devout Christian and an example of modesty, wisdom and patience, Madam Susannah will be remembered by her numerous relatives, in-laws, children and grandchildren, for her ingenuity in brokering peace and simplifying knotted issues. So many relationships were saved by her interventions; so many destinies were saved from derail by her sterling advice and counsel. Madam Susannah was a great giver, ready to relinquish even her last wrapper for those who were in need.
Her burial program is as follows: The service of songs will be on Thursday 25th of May 2017 by 5pm at her residence, Umuezechem, Nkalafia, Irefi-Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.
On Friday 26th of May from 6.00am till 8.00 am, her body will leave Restland Mortuary Ichi, to her father’s compound for a brief ceremony of last respects. From 8.00 am till 10.00 am, she will lay in state at her residence, at late pa Rufus Nnodi’s Compound, Nkalafia. By 10.00am, requiem service begins.
Saturday, 27th May 2017, burial ceremonies continue. On Sunday 28th May, 2017, will be the outing service at all saints Anglican Church Parish, Irefi-Oraifite.
