Two beautifully decorated halls as venue

The well spaced and beautiful, Landmark Event Centre, Oniru, Lagos, was the choice for the wedding reception of Chinazo and Mekam. Obvious they were expecting the crème de la crème at the event, the Obiejesis and the Okoyes chose two halls that could sit all the guests comfortably.

The halls were excitingly decorated in white and black drapes with shimmering lights and flowers everywhere.

Indeed, it was a sight to hold. One could liken it to heaven on earth. Insiders revealed that the decoration alone couldn’t be less than N3 million. It was obvious that the billionaire businessman and his in-laws spared no cost to add beauty to elegance as they entertained guests at the superlative nuptials.

 

IK Osakioduwa, Okey Bakassi and MC Hugobros manned the ceremonies

On Air Personality and dutiful host, I.K Osakioduwa, laughter merchant Okey Bakassi and fast rising comedian, MC Hugobros were on hand to keep guests entertained at the reception.

IK manned the first hall, while MC Hugobros was in charge of the second hall. They ensured there was no dull moment till the last guest vacated the hall.

 

How the couple was ushered into the hall

The procession started in the first hall. The happy and elated couple and their train danced to melodious tunes from Veentage Band. As they filed into the hall, excited guests danced to the music as well.

The couple thereafter, matched into the second hall as Then 7 Orchestra churned out its tunes amidst fireworks that rocked the aisle as the two love birds matched in. The couple entered the hall at exactly 4.40 pm

 

Father and daughter dance

The father and daughter dance was very impressive. Billionaire businessman, Azudialu-Obiejesi dabbed to Phyno’s hit song, “Fada Fada” to the admiration of all.

Chinazo also did not let the guests down. She was obviously the envy of all the single ladies in house as she rocked the dance floor with her infectious and heartwarming smile, difficult to ignore.

 

The groom and the mom too

The duo of mother and son also had their dance. It was emotional and captivating as the groom’s mom embraced her son while they danced to ‘Sweet Mother’. They colonised the dance floor for up to 15 minutes to the excitement of the crowd.

 

Dangote came to rejoice with the Azudialu-Obiejesis

Billionaire business man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote stood as a great friend. In his usual quiet manner, he stepped in, garbed in white agbada and navy blue cap. He walked in around 6.45 pm, chatted and exchanged pleasantries with friends and well wishers.

 

Time to throw the bouquet

This was the time every single lady looks excitedly out for at a wedding. It was time to throw the bouquet. The pretty bride in her enchanting smile danced and pretended she wanted to throw the bouquet. Expectant ladies were amazed and disappointed when she handed it over to her immediate younger sister, Ogechukwu.

 

When Tuface electrified the hall

African Queen crooner and one of the most respected artistes, Innocent 2Face Idibia played for the couple. From True love to African Queen, See me so, the legendary musician thrilled delightfully. The celebrants were also exceedingly joyous and excited as they did justice to all the songs by the talented singer.

 

The bride’s love song

The beautiful bride who is also a chorister sang for her darling husband, Mekam. And that’s highly applauded.  Her sonorous voice and the smiles beaming from her face complemented the love song.

 

Good to see you

Stephanie, estranged wife of Pastor Chris Okotie of House Hold of God Church also graced the colourful occasion.

The fair-skinned woman appeared in her usually radiant look. She stepped in quietly with a couple of friends. Garbed in a flowing gray gown, she was at the entrance for a while before she took a seat.
