Soccer star, Osaze Odemwingie weds British lover in Manchester on June 2

THAT Super Eagles striker, Osaze Odemwingie will quit bachelorhood in few weeks is no longer in doubt.  What, however, is still in contention is whether the Russian born soccer star will walk his belle, Sarah Michael down the aisle in Benin, his hometown.  But fresh facts emerging indicated that the wedding will actually hold in Manchester in the United Kingdom.  We were told by close friends of the footballer that the choice of the venue was informed by the fact that the lady, who captured the heart of the West Bromwich Albion of England top striker originated from the UK.   Besides, most of Osaze’s close friends and colleagues are based there.

The wedding earlier scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 2012, was shifted to Saturday, June 2, 2012 as agreed by both families.  Arrangement towards the wedding is ongoing as the lovebirds don’t want to leave anything to chances.  None of the friends of the Super Eagles goal machine want to divulge further information as regards the across border nuptials, but we gathered that Nigerian delegation to the wedding will be airlifted in a chartered aircraft.

The former Locomotive Moscow striker was at a time romantically linked to party duchess, Freda Edewor. Both neither denied nor confirmed being an item until the recent buzz about the player’s readiness to quit bachelorhood, an indication that he may have never had anything to do with the social element Freda.

Osaze was one time a member of the exclusive bachelor’s club, a ladies’ man anytime.  His good looks attracted many female admirers to him.

Born of a Nigerian father and an Uzbekistan mother, he pledged allegiance to his father’s country as a football player. He started his playing career with the old Bendel Insurance of Benin before moving to Russia where he played for Locomotive Moscow.  He later moved to Lille Metropole of France before his current club, West Brom in England, where he is the club’s leading goal scorer.
