THE families of Kosoko and Abina are, no doubt, very happy and joyous at the moment.  And the reason is not far-fetched.
Star actress, Sola Kosoko-Abina, daughter of veteran actor cum film maker, Jide Kosoko, just delivered a baby girl in the United States of America.
The new baby, we learnt, arrived in the early hours of Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Queen’s Hospital, New York, USA.  Mother and child, we were told, are in perfect condition.
Since the arrival of the tot, the elated mother, Sola, has been reaching out to her friends and colleagues within and outside the industry, sharing the good news with them.
“Sola Kosoko is very happy right now.  She just delivered a baby girl.  She gave birth early this morning at a private hospital in the US.  I learnt the child shares a striking resemblance with her.  She is likely to return to Nigeria soon for an elaborate naming ceremony, being her first child since she married in 2012.”
However, the joy of Jide Kosoko, father of the pretty actress, knew no bounds as he exploded in joy while breaking the news to ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, July 19, 2014.  He was so excited and happy, expressing gratitude and appreciation to God for the arrival of the new bundle of joy.
“Tade, congratulations o!  My daughter, Sola just delivered a baby girl in the US.  She put to bed very early this morning, around 1 a.m, at Queen’s Hospital, New York, USA.  I thank God, mother and child are in good condition. I am very happy at the moment because that has always been my prayer, and it has been answered.  That’s what I have been looking forward to.  Alhamdulilah!”
Clearing the air on the publications by some magazines and social media networks, a couple of weeks back that the beautiful thespian had given birth earlier, he reacted, “They made a mistake to have reported that Sola gave birth then.  They should have found out from me to know exactly who put to bed among my daughters.  It’s Sola’s elder sister, Sakirat that delivered a baby then, not Sola.  Anyway, it’s all about me.  And I am so happy to be their father.
“Not that Sakirat and sola were the first to give me grandchildren, but I am particularly happy this time around because the joy came in quick succession.  I give glory to God for that.”
Asked to shed light on how the naming ceremony will go and when the new baby and mother will arrive Nigeria, he said, “That I can’t say specifically.  But definitely, the child will be christened the eighth day and that will be in the US. But I am also sure there is going to be an elaborate naming ceremony here in Nigeria when Sola and her baby return.  And you know it can’t be now.  Her husband, Waheed Abina is in Nigeria right now.  They know what their plan is.  Sola herself doesn’t have the intention of staying in the US, she only went on holiday and eventually delivered there, which is a thing of joy.  To me, the most important thing is that she delivered the baby safely.  And I am so happy about that.”
