South Africa names strong team for qualifier against the Super Eagles

South Africa’s gaffer, Ephraim Mashaba has named a strong side for their African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier versus Nigeria’s Super Eagles match at 6pm in the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo (Akwa Ibom).

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane makes a return to the Bafana Bafana after coming off the bench to earn his 50th cap in their 2-1 win against Sudan.

Also getting a place in the starting lineup are Mandla Masango and Tefu Mashamaite, with Dean Furman expected to wear the captain’s armband. Tokelo Rantie also gets the nod to start after scoring in the last game.

The Bafana Bafana who have already secured a place in Equatorial Guinea 2015 will hope to get their first win against the Eagles in competitive football.

Darren Keet, Sibusiso Khumalo, Anele Ngcongca, Eric Mathoho, Tefu Mashamaite, Dean Furman, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Oupa Manyisa, Mandla Masango, Bongani Ndulula, Tokelo Rantie.
