‘They are wishing themselves evil’
BEAUTIFUL star actress, Ngozi Ezeonu, is not happy with story making the rounds that her marriage has collapsed.
Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, the Anambra born role interpreter debunked the story, saying it is unfounded and untrue. “I am still living with my husband (Edwin) or do you wish me otherwise? People who spread these rumours are wishing themselves evil, not me,” she fired back.
The news of Mrs. Ezeonu’s marriage break-up started circulating many months back. The allegation then centred on infidelity. Another version of the story had it that the Forbidden and Glamour Girls actress was under pressure because of the financial demands of the Ezeonus. There was another story about stardom taking a better part of her and thus her treating her husband with disdain.
But the screen queen has denied all that, labelling them baseless and far from the truth. She visited Lagos weeks back for Ernest Obi’s wedding. We also spotted her at a private party of a Lagos businessman before her last appearance. But when she spoke with ENCOMIUM Weekly, she admitted she was not in Lagos. However, she assured us she would join her family later in the month.
Married for all of 14 years, Ngozi Ezeonu has three children and they used to live in Ikate, Lagos. She is a leading light in Nollywood, with more than 100 movies in her kitty.
Free of scandals before the unpalatable rumour, Ngozi is one actress that has an intimidating fan base that cuts across the globe.
