Olarslim, as she is popularly known is a fashionista, fashion consultant, fashion stylist and personal shopper who also runs her own online fashion store where she sells the trendiest and most beautiful fashion items. The fashionable young lady and entrepreneur explained why you shouldn’t spend so much to look very presentable.
What does it entail to be a very presentable lady?
Body language experts have built entire careers on this theory; as have stylists. I believe (rightfully) that your outfit is not simply a thing with a certain aesthetic appeal; it’s a form of self-expression. Your clothing says something to those around you, whether you intend for it to or not, so it’s best to approach dressing with some form of intention.
You could have on the trendiest, most expensive outfit in the world, but if it doesn’t fit you properly, you’re not going to look stylish, and all your effort and money would have been wasted. The biggest mistake women make is wearing clothes that don’t fit because they don’t accept the body they have right now.
You have to do that in order to figure out what looks good on you. And besides, confidence is the best accessory. It can make or break an outfit.
To be a stylish lady you have to understand that it is important to know when to play with trends, seemingly tiny tricks can totally change your looks, Dressing should be half your audience and half your personal style and you must have a signature style.
Do you think it is expensive to be a very presentable lady?
Personally, I think being prudent while shopping does the trick. You should never put a large amount of money into buying clothes and such at once. One or two at a time is better than 50 at once.
At a certain point I realized “why should I pay over price for something when I can get it for less? The millionaire next door doesn’t throw money at full priced goods just because they can afford it. They became millionaires by keeping their costs manageable along the way.
That’s why I will advise a personal shopper for most ladies because being stylish shouldn’t drain your bank account and it’s your stylists Job to tell you what you need to buy and wear.
Must a lady be stylish to be presentable?
That’s a No, I believe in decency so once you are covered up and know what outfit to wear to different occasions, that does the trick.
Can you do a head to toe cost of what it takes to be a very presentable lady?
Buy quality not quantity; if you fall in this category, a head to toe budget for you to be stylish will be about N60,000, more or even less. Buy quantity not quality; one can spend just N7,000 in this category and still look pretty stylish.
