Subscribers on their favorite networks

The advent of cell phones has brought various network providers into the country. Though there had been a handful of them in operation, some have had no other choice but to liquidate. The early network providers are MTN, Globacom, Visafone, Multilinks, Starcomms, Etisalat and Airtel.  While some packed up, some merged and others have remained in service till date. However, there had been competition among them due to individual preference of the subscribers. While some subscribers won’t exchange Glo for any other network, others would simply go for either MTN, Airtel or Etisalat.

In this chat with encomium.ng, subscribers revealed their favourite networks and why they prefer them.

Kilani Wasiu

I prefer Glo to any other network because of the cheap data bundles. Though most of the time, Glo network is bad, but I still use it better than my other line. It’s my business line.

Alimi Korede

I use MTN and I love it. MTN signal is everywhere. If you get to any area and MTN network is bad there, it might be a general problem. I travel a lot because of my job, if my other lines can’t be reached, then you will definitely reach me on my MTN line.

Adedeji Muyiwa

I prefer MTN because of the bonus they give me anytime I recharge. But I like Glo’s data plans. If I am asked to choose between the two, I will go for MTN because it’s everywhere you go.

Adegbenro Kafilat

I use Airtel and Etisalat. I prefer the Airtel because it’s cool and cheap to maintain. You can also borrow airtime and pay at your own convenience. Unlike Etisalat that would have deducted the money immediately you recharge, even before you see your recharge balance.

Olarinde Josiah

I prefer using Glo for browsing because they give free data if you recharge frequently.

Ogundele Sunday

I use MTN for browsing because the signal is always strong but I prefer Glo because the cost of subscribing is low compared to the amount of data you will be given which is undoubtedly much.

Ibiyemi Ronke

I love using Etisalat for browsing because it’s faster and better than other networks.
