Sylvia Nduka talks passionately about her hairline

MOST Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2011, Sylvia Nduka has delved into hair business.  The official launch of Sylvia’s Hair at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, December 15, 2011, with beautiful damsels in attendance.  ENCOMIUM Weekly chatted up the beauty queen where she revealed a lot about the treated human hair and much more.

What informed your decision to launch Sylvia’s Hair?

I think it has to do with my passion for hair as I like it a lot.  So, I decided to launch it in order to let people get to know about it.

What differentiates your hair product from others that abound in the market?

Mine is treated already.  So, you don’t have to go to the market to buy anything, not even serum to use on it.  It is a 100 per cent treated human hair.

Who are your target customers?

I am really focusing on the young ones, that is, the young ladies because they love hair just like I do.  And I have this strong belief that it will sell.

What informed your decision of going to Spain to get it?

The truth is that we don’t have long hair here in Nigeria.  So, I went to Spain where they have long hair to get them.  Although there are Brazilian and Californian types, I thought Spain is where I can get exactly what I want.  You can see that it is lovely.

Does it come in types?

Yes.  It actually has three rates: straight hair, deep body wave and body wave.  I am wearing a straight hair even though I coloured it.  It equally comes in various colours.

At what rate do you sell it?

I can’t answer the question because I am not the one selling it.  But there is an outlet where you can find out about that.

What does it take to maintain it?

It costs nothing.  This is because human hair can be retouched and coloured (dye).  You can wear it over and over again.  So, it costs absolutely nothing to maintain it.
