Taylor Swift gives fan $50,000 to defeat cancer

Taylor Swift has once again proved that  she is very generous, when it comes to her fans. On Tuesday, Swift donated $50,000 to help pay for a fan’s medical expenses as she battles cancer.

Naomi Oakes, a dedicated ‘Swiftie’ was devastated when she learned that leukemia would prevent her from attending the Taylor swift concert in Phoenix, Arizona (USA).

Naomi’s father posted a video on you tube (July 5 2015), detailing Naomi’s love for Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad blood song’ which she chose to be her concert fight song. The family hoped Swift would see the video and use the Hashtag#Team Naomi on social media#.

Swift responded by donating $50,000 to Gofund me account that Naomi’s parents set up to pay for her medical expenses. Under the donation, Swift wrote : “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I am sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts.  Let’s focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family”.

The star’s donation surpassed the family’s original $30,000 goal and more importantly made Naomi’s day.
