The Challenge Arena Game Show debuts in Nigeria

Despite the initial hitches associated with the Nigerian business environment, the Challenge Arena Game Show will soon debut in Nigeria.

The Challenge Arena, a new television quiz/game show aimed at promoting sports and entertainment, is basically meant for youths between the ages of 18 and 50. The innovative game show is conceptualized to get some more sports-loving Nigerians to demonstrate the level of their knowledge of sports and entertainment. It is a television programme that is fully computer based without any input from either outsiders or the audience.

Packaged for 13 weeks, The Challenge Arena will come on air this January 2015 on many television stations in Nigeria including LTV 8 and MiTV, (DSTV, GOTV, STARTIMES) STY Benin, CRTV Calabar, RSTV Port Harcourt, BCOS Ibadan, KSMC Kaduna . According to Wale Adegboyega, Executive Producer/Project Manager of the game show, The Challenge Arena has eight contestants referred to as Challengers who compete in a quiz with questions to be answered within a maximum of 15 minutes. The computer system will score them based on speed and accuracy.

There are three distinct ways to participate and be a Challenger in the game show. First is the Live Studio Challenger – Text LIVE GAME, Name, and Location to 35815. Shortlisted persons will be contacted via telephone number provided. Second, the Home Challenger -Text HOME GAME, answer, name to SMS code 35815. Questions will be displayed on the television screen for Home Challenger. Third, Online Challenger will text WEB GAME to SMS code 35815 to get a PIN number to play online.
