Europe’s biggest street carnival – the Notting Hill carnival – has returned today (August 24), and with it the mammoth crowd, non-stop music and flamboyant costumes – which stand out the two-day spectacle.
As is the norm, West London rocked and frolicked as a carnival procession – from Westbourne park underground station to Ladbroke grove set the tone for the day, before the J’ouvert event featuring a paint fight kick started the show.
