The late Mrs. Adesanya was from Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. She met her soul mate, late Abraham Adesanya, when they were students at Ijebu Ode Grammar School, though they were mere acquaintances then. Their love became pronounced after they had left Ijebu Ode Grammar School. They met years later in Lagos and decided to be husband and wife.  Their union is blessed with four children, the eldest being Adebayo Adesanya, a one-time supervisory councillor in Apapa Local Government. The only female among them is Chief (Mrs.) Modupe Adelaja, former Director-General Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and wife of Rosabel head honcho, Chief Tunde Adelaja. She was also a one time minister.
