‘The Lord has spoken over Jonathan’s defeat’ -Primate Ayodele

POPULAR seer and founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke-Afa, Ejigbo, Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele has cleared the air on his prophecies over 2015 general elections, especially the presidential election where he told ENCOMIUM Weekly President Jonathan will win if he consults God.  However, he also told us Jonathan will be the last PDP President to rule Nigeria.

In a bid by ENCOMIUM Weekly to seek more clarification to the perceived conflicting messages, and to put the record straight, we had a phone chat with the spiritual head of the famous church on Friday, April 24, 2015.  He spoke on why Jonathan actually lost out in the keenly contested poll.

Our chat…

No doubt, you have prophesied a lot on national issues, especially 2015 general elections.  You once said Jonathan should consult God and heed his warnings if he wants to win in 2015 because there was a great challenge for him ahead.  Now that he had lost the election, what would you say is responsible for the defeat?

You can go into your archives since 2012.  I have been very constant about the prophecies over President Goodluck Jonathan to the last point.  You can go through all the newspapers or magazines that had published all the prophecies till date, we have not said anything that’s contrary to the will of God.  We said as the Lord directed, and they have all come to fulfillment.  Maybe Jonathan consulted God or not, that I don’t know.  But whichever, it has been a consistency of God’s prophecy since 2012 to 2015, and it really means a lot.

But you told us Jonathan will be the last PDP president to rule Nigeria but why is it that you still said he would win…

That’s why I referred you to all the publications concerning my prophecies about Jonathan since 2012 till date and all I have said about 2015 elections.  It’s all a consistency of God’s words.  I have no power over any of these words. I only said it as the Lord directed.  You can check everything we have said, how it’s going to happen and all that.  We have said Jonathan was not going to get it in the core North, it has happened that way.  And the Governors Forum will divide against him should he decide to contest in 2015, everything has come to pass.  But at a time we said PDP would win at the centre if Jonathan handles some issues very well, including the First Lady issue, the Chibok girls and others.  My question is did he handle these things the way the Lord directed?  And we have said if Jonathan wanted to win in 2015, this and this were the steps he should take.  Prophecy is to warn you against any impediment and how to tackle it. It’s now left for you to take it or leave it.  But all I know is that all what we said have been constant but anybody is free to interpret them in their own understanding.  One thing people don’t know is that prophecy is not literature book or newspaper.  And can anybody interpret prophecy better than God?  You’re free to quote the excerpts of my interviews with different dailies and magazines which will be forwarded to you soon.  I have never said as the Lord hasn’t directed.

For instance, in the Saturday, February 4, 2012 edition of National Life, I warned that the Boko Haram insurgents will continue to make the government hard to run.  That’s why Jonathan must forget re-contesting in 2015.

Also in the Saturday Independent, of June 9, 2013, I said and I quote again, “PDP will have a very strong opposition this time around that will rattle it.  The PDP is still going to break.  Many of the people there in are tired of the party because they are not doing things the right way.  That’s why Jonathan is the person to handover to a credible president in 2015.  He must not contest.”

However, in the excerpts of his interviews he sent to ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, April 25, 2015, the humble preacher of the Word backed up his claims that Jonathan had been foretold of his defeat but with prayer all things are possible.

According to the Wednesday, February 2012 of Daily Champion, he was quoted as saying, “I am not against President Jonathan or his government but let him not contest in 2015.  He should relax else he will break the country.  The way out for him is to conduct a credible elections.”

In the Weekend Champion of June 16, 2012, he was also reported to have said, “The governors will gang up against Jonathan and the PDP will lose the central government in 2015.  Equally, in the Tuesday, September 25 to Monday, October 1, 2012, the Ekiti born preacher and seer was reported to have posited in the Global Excellence magazine, “President Jonathan’s 2015 ambition will break the governors into factions.  He also reportedly said Governor Mimiko should not leave the Labour Party for PDP.  He was also quoted to have said on September 18, 2012 edition of City People magazine, “The PDP will lose power at the centre in 2015.  I foresee President Jonathan losing international support.  I foresee social media war.  President Jonathan needs prayer to weather the storm of 2015. He must consult God to surmount the challenges ahead of him.”

Primate Ayodele was also quoted to have revealed President Jonathan’s second term ambition wasn’t sure.  This, he reportedly said in Saturday Vanguard of December 28, 2013.  “Like I always say, President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term is dicey. He will start some political abracadabra in order to gain his second term which will be characterized by so much negotiation.  He will beg and cajole a lot of people.  He might be the last PDP president to rule Nigeria.

He was also quoted to have said in the December 24, 2014 edition of Daily Champion, “If the APC embarks on prayers before the election, Buhari will give Jonathan challenges in the North.

He also reportedly said in Sunday Sun of December 28, 2014, “If the APC embarks on aggressive grassroots campaign, it will win in 2015 but if the party relies on Buhari’s past glory, it will lose. Jonathan will be the last PDP president.”

According to Saturday Independent on January 3, 2015, as contained in the excerpts forwarded to ENCOMIUM Weekly as part of his prophecies on Jonathan’s ambition, Ayodele was quoted as saying, “The spirit of God foretold; Jonathan will be the last PDP president in Nigeria.  APC will win in Sokoto, the PDP will find it difficult to win Kano, Kaduna and Katsina.  It will be a futile attempt to defeat Amosun while the PDP will win in Cross River and Delta.

Also, in the Sunday, January 18, 2015 edition of The Nation, he was reported to have said, “Jonathan will be the last PDP president, I foresee a new government in the country.”

However, when contacted on Saturday, April 25, 2015, for clarification on his prophecy that Jonathan will win 2015 if he consults God, after all the evidences of consistency in the earlier predictions, he reacted, “I have said it, I couldn’t have revealed anything without God’s directive.  And the Lord had spoken clearly on that.  It’s now left for the public to understand the message.”
