The private life of Olumuyiwa Osinuga (Nomoreloss)

Olumuyiwa Osinuga,  popularly addressed as NoMoreLoss, was born in Lagos State, western Nigeria in the 70s. He had his primary and secondary education at A.D.R.A.O International School, Victoria Island, Lagos. Later, he went further to study Economics at the Ogun State University (OSU), now Olabisi Onabanjo University.

Nomoreloss is an accomplished songwriter, stand-up comedian, music video director, master of ceremonies, and a television host. He has directed videos for various artistes including Folake Umosen, Jah Borne, Cimion, Jagunlabi…

He studied the nitty-gritty of music from one of the Nigeria’s greatest instrumentalists and jazz saxophonists Kunle Ajayi. He is a producer of both music and television programmes, he was the presenter of the music TV show “groovoidz”, and his role models are Orlando Owoh, Ebenezer Obey, Bob Marley, King Sunny Ade, Fela Kuti, K1 De Ultimate etc…

Nomoreloss came into limelight in 2002, when he featured in Ruggedman’s classic cut,“Ehen”. Before then, he released his first single titled, Kilode from his first album in the year 1999. In 2003, he did a follow up titled, Iyawo Asiko, which is one of his biggest hits and was inspired by highlife legend Orlando Owoh.

He was also nominated in five categories in the Award for Musical Excellence Nigeria (A.M.E.N),  including Best Male Vocalist, Song of the year, Best New Act and Best Act Solo.

The talented song writer got married to Rhythm 93.7 FM OAP Phoenix (Adeola Osinuga) and they both welcomed a baby girl on Saturday, January 15, 2011.
