They don’t spend money in heaven – Femi Otedola

Chairman of Geregu Power Plc, Femi Otedola – whose donation of N5 billion to Save the Children on Sunday,  November 10, 2019, in Abuja stunned legions – has always reiterated that money is only spent on earth.
For years the stylish man of means repeatedly maintained that money is not spent in heaven. And since we will all leave our wealth and possessions behind, whatever we do for mankind is what’s important, he regularly states.
At the Cuppy Gold Gala inside the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, uninterrupted ovation trailed the announcement by his daughter Tolani and presentation to Save the Children CEO Kevin Watkins.
“God has been so kind to me in life and I feel highly privileged. The only way I can show my gratitude to him is to use my resources to support those who are underprivileged. This I intend to do for the rest of my life,” he said after his daughter presented the dummy cheque.
“In a world full of conflicts, diseases, calamities and inequality, we all need to show the  milk of human kindness, to reach out and comfort the sick and give a helping hand to the weak.”
