Thousands of mourners paid tribute earlier today (December 3) to a ‘heroic’ young woman who died after suffering fatal injuries when she intervened to help two teenage girls being harassed by a group of men as she was laid to rest.
Turkish-German Tugce Albayrak had been in a coma since mid-November following the altercation in Offenbach, near Frankfurt (Germany). She died on Friday (November 28 – her 23rd birthday) after her family gave permission to switch her life support.
The young woman and two friends came to the help of two teenage girls who were being harassed by several young men inside a bathroom in the McDonald’s at about 4 a.m. on November 15. She was hit on the head by one of the men.
