An Indian toddler, whose head swelled up to almost double its natural size, has defied expectations by surviving her operation and making miraculous recovery.
Roona Begum (2) required emergency surgery after suffering from an extreme form of hydrocephalus – in laymen’s term refers to water on the brain. She has now surpassed her survival expectations and well enough to eat and crawl£
Surgeons in Delhi – India’s capital – who had performed the operation on her after discovering her strange condition, predicted that she would not live long.
She has, however to the astonishment of the surgeons, made an amazing recovery and is well on her way to attending school this year.
