Traffic Management and Transportation tops Sanwo-Olu’s agenda

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has identified Traffic Management and Transportation as one of the cardinal programmes of his administration as captured in the administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S pillars for the development of the State.

The acronym T.H.E.M.E.S represents Traffic Management and Transportation,  Health and Environment, Education and Technology,  Making Lagos a 21stCentury Economy, Entertainment and Tourism as well as Security and Governance.

The Governor who made the declaration during his inaugural speech stated that operations of all modes of transportation in the State would be harnessed with a view to addressing challenges in the sector and ease traffic gridlocks in all areas.

Towards the achievement of this framework, Sanwo-Olu said further that “Traffic Management and Transportation” is planned to implement the transport masterplan that will fully integrate Road, Rail and Water Transportation towards the achievement of a multi-modal transport system.

While urging members of the public to ensure compliance with all traffic rules and regulations, Sanwo-Olu envisaged that the multi-modal system of transportation will engender easy commuting of Lagosians to their various destinations.

He implored the people of the State to team up with him in the march towards overcoming traffic challenges, urging them not to stand aloof but play their roles in achieving the success of his administration’s development plans.
