Tributes pour in as iconic designer, Oscar de la Renta passes on

After battling cancer for close to ten years, iconic Dominican-American fashion designer, Oscar de la Renta, 82, has passed away.

The legendary designer, who dressed former US first ladies – Jackie Kennedy and Hillary Clinton – died yesterday (October 20) at his family home in Kent, Connecticut (USA).

Tributes have been pouring in since his death was announced with the likes of supermodel, Naomi Campbell  and singer, Taylor Swift posting touching messages.

Naomi Campbell tweeted earlier today: “You made this a dream come True !! R I P TheGentlemanofFashion #Oscar de la Renta”.

While 24-year-old singer tweeted to her 45 million followers: “My all-time favorite designer has passed away. Oscar, it was an honor to wear your creations and to know you. In loving memory.”
