I feel great and I’m very happy. Apart from that, seeing your daughter getting married feels very good.

What is your prayer for the couple?

My prayer for the couple is that they should live a very good life together. They should be honest with whatever they are doing. They should support people around them. I pray God will be with them, guide them. They are both from muslim background like me. I wish them to practice their religion because it gives confidence, good life and also teaches morals.

What is your advice to the couple?

To live a very good life and pray regularly. No matter the religion you practice, either Christianity or Islam, communication is very important. So, I advice them to always communicate with God and believe that God is sufficient for them.

They should be honest with whatever they do. They should not rush anything. They should leave everything to God.

What was your reaction when your daughter brought her husband home?

I was happy. For me, there is something about life, if you are through with your studies and you are talking about marriage, you have to convince me that you are ready. When her mother told me about her husband, I told her I wanted to meet him.

I saw he was very gentle and I felt the passion he has for my daughter. We believe in contentment which is my principle of life. Try to be ordinary and let people recognize your importance. I was very happy when she brought him home.
