Update on Ayinde Barrister’s health – Flown to Germany for another surgery

THE health of fuji lord, Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, popularly known and addressed as Alhaji Agba is said to have deteriorated again.

ENCOMIUM Weekly gathered from an inside source that the management of Havana Specialist Hospital, Surulere, Lagos, where the widely respected fuji creator was recuperating since he returned from India where he had gone for abdominal surgery, has recommended another operation for the ailing fuji star.  This, according to the source, is to enable Mr. Fuji as Ayinde Barrister is fondly called walk on his feet again.

The surgery, this time around would be carried out on two of his ribs that are currently dislocated.  This, we learnt, can only be done perfectly in Germany, hence the decision to fly the multi-talented fuji star out of the country some days back.

“Alhaji Agba’s health has not improved.  Although he is recuperating from the previous surgeries, he can’t still walk properly.  I learnt he has problem with some of his ribs which need to be corrected urgently, so that he can walk very well. I learnt he has been flown to Germany for the corrective surgery,” the source disclosed.

Confirming the story, Barrister’s daughter, Alhaja Modinat Ayeloja, a.k.a Barrymade told ENCOMIUM Weekly on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, that the fuji maestro is currently hospitalized at a specialist hospital in Germany adding that he would return to Nigeria soon after he is certified fit.

“It is true that daddy has gone to Germany for further medical attention.  But I can assure you, he is better than he was weeks back.  His health has improved but he has not recovered fully.  He still needs the attention of a specialist that will correct certain things in his ribs, that is why he was flown to Germany.  He would be back in the country as soon as he is alright,” she stated.
