Uzodimma Commiserates with New Telegraph Newspaper on death of Editor

Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has commiserated with the management and staff of the New Telegraph newspaper on the death of her Saturday editor, Alhaji Waheed Bakare who died on Sunday after a brief illness, aged 51.

Governor Uzodimma described Bakare’s death as painful and regretted, saying that he died when his services were needed most.

He said the late editor’s death was a loss, not just to the media community but a collective loss.

The Imo State Governor said though death is inevitable, that of Bakare reminds us again that the death of one person diminishes us all as mankind.

He prayed God to grant Bakare’s soul a peaceful repose and to comfort the family, particularly the widow, the children, the age4d mother and other family members that he left behind to mourn his passing.
