A video showing Zenith Bank staffers being set up to appear as if they were apologizing to Governor Ayodele Fayose over tales that the bank sponsored his campaign with the alleged looted funds found in his accounts is making the rounds.
In the video, two Zenith Bank staffers walked into a scene where Bunmi Falana, who used to be an aide of Fayose and now a staffer of Zenith Bank, was on his knees. The stunned staffers were later ambushed with suggestive questions as Fayose listened.
Last week, Fayose’s accounts, suspected to have received stolen funds from National Security Adviser’s office to bankroll his elections, were frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. And he has tried to exonerate himself by claiming that the money in the accounts were donation from Zenith Bank and others who sponsored his campaign.
