Video of stripped Afikuyomi in primaries drama surfaces

Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress primaries for chairmanship elections in Lagos, was not beaten to a pulp or seriously injured on Saturday, May 27, 2017.

The bulky politician was only harassed, abused and had his top shredded by angry delegates at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere (Lagos). He had to be hurriedly ferried out of the venue by security operatives.
There had been  protests over the modus of selecting candidates for the July 22 elections which dovetailed into violence.
And most of the delegates appeared to be against consensus candidature. They wanted keen contests through elections.
