Nigerian international artiste, Wizkid’s sustained rise to continental and now global acclaim has sparked the debate of just how great the superstar is.
While there is argument when Nigerians compare him with some of the legendary singers the country has been blessed with, the consensus is that the kid is indeed a blessing to the music industry.

Holla at Your Boy: Wizkid was introduced to the Nigerians in 2010 by Banky W as a new member of the EME all stars, signed to the Empire Mates Entertainment Record Label. His introductory video was an instant hit as the song announced the arrival of a fresh talent with experts immediately tipping him to go far.

Love My Baby: Even though Wizkid failed to shoot a video for this evergreen track, it stands tall as one of his best efforts till date. The song, “Love My Baby” Released in August 29, 2011 got the entire nation, young and old singing and the legend of Wizkid was born.
Don’t Dull: Was officially released on December 4, 2010 as the third single from his debut album Superstar. Tyga did a freestyle over the song’s instrumental during his visit to Tim Westwood’s BBC’s Radio 1xtra show.
Azonto: In 2012 when Azonto, a musical genre and dance that started in Ghana and quickly spread across Africa was at fever pitch, Wizkid jumped on the song, helping to popularise the dance in spectacular fashion. Produced by record producing and songwriting duo Legendury Beatz. Azonto was officially released on January 28, 2012.

On Top Your Matter: Single dropped in October 2013 and expectedly, became another instant hit as the song caught like wild fire. Produced by Del B, on top your matter is still being played in clubs in 2016.
Jaiye Jaiye: What do you get when African Living legend, Femi Kuti does a rare collabo with one of the continent’s brightest young star, Wizkid, you get ‘Jaiye Jaiye. Released on May 2, 2013, the song was produced by the Sarz, while video which followed the song release months after, was directed by Sesan, and shot in Lagos at the historic Shrine location, and actually features a very creative “cameo” from Fela Anikulakpo Kuti himself.
Bombay: In this collabo with Phyno, Wizkid showcased his versatility in this tribute song to the African woman’s bum.
In My Bed: Taken from his Sophomore album, Ayo, Wizkid got the ladies dancing non stop with this jam.
Show you the money: Another hit track on his Sophomore, Show you the money was Wizkid ‘showing off’ a little bit after his monumental success on many fronts. He shot the video on location in the exact same hood that he grew up in, showing in the process that he hasn’t forgotten his roots. The video was directed by Patrick Ellis, and the jam was produced by Shizzi.
Ojuelegba: This is easily Wizkid’s biggest jam so far. Ojuelegba has been danced to by international stars like Rihanna and many more. The song received numerous airplay on all major radio stations in Nigeria, and peaked at number 1 on Capital Xtra’s Afrobeats Chart for February 2015. On July 11, 2015, Drake premiered his remix of Ojuelegba along with Skepta on his OVO Sound Radio. The song was ranked number 12 on the list of the 107 Best Songs of 2015 complied by The Fader magazine.
