A waiter at an upscale restaurant in Barbados has been suspended for two weeks for taking a photograph with Manchester United’s Dutch striker, Robin Van Persie.
The 30-year-old star was dining with his wife and two children at the Cliff restaurant while on holiday when waiter, Kyson Forde, asked for a picture.
The waiter – a huge Red Devils fan – got his dream snap with Van Persie, but found himself suspended from work for breaking the restaurant’s rules regarding the use of mobile phones in the dining area, according to The Mirror.
The Cliff restaurant is frequently visited by celebrities and has a glowing reputation for being one of the best restaurants in the world.
