WAR OVER PROPHET AJANAKU’S ESTATE GETS MESSIER

– Wife moves out

– Faction contest wife’s leadership of the church

THE battle for the possession of late Prophet Ireti Ajanaku’s multi-million naira estate between his widow, Joy and some of his family members has taken a dramatic dimension.  The widow of the deceased is said to have moved out of his Lagos house to an unknown place.

A reliable source who spoke to ENCOMIUM Weekly on Friday, September 6, 2013, said that the young woman was having a fierce battle with her in-laws who have expressed their desire to take over the late Prophet’s assets.

According to our source, aside the seven cars – Infiniti jeep, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Celica, Cardillac Escalade, Lincoln car and two Chrysler (convertible and non-convertible) – they have literarily taken over the deceased’s multi-million naira Lagos house.

Signs that they have come to take over was when they sent packing the deceased’s domestic staff who had been staying with him.  ENCOMIUM Weekly learnt when the face-off between the family members and the widow dragged to ownership of the house, and she had to move out.

“All is not well with the family members of the deceased and the widow.  Aside the cars which they have taken over, they have extended war of occupation to the house.  She had to flee to safety because of her young children, Stella (8 years) and Apotieri (6 years).  However, the only thing they can’t contest with her is the deceased’s account as his wife is the next of kin.  That is the only thing that can sustain the woman.”

WHEN HE WILL BE BURIED

ENCOMIUM Weekly reliably gathered that the family members are still consulting on the burial plans.  The major cause of delay is whether he should be buried in his Lagos home or at Gbongan, his hometown in Osun State.  However, a source squealed that the burial might be before November 2013.

CONTEST OVER NEW LEADER OF THE CHURCH

ENCOMIUM Weekly gathered that though the ministry’s board had agreed to install the widow, Joy Ajanaku as the new General Overseer of Christ Revival Victory Chapel International Church and President of the Ajanaku World Outreach, we learnt some faction claimed that his assistant, Pastor Salami deserved the new mantle.  According to our source, the faction said the deceased had groomed the said pastor before his demise.  According to them, he was managing the ministry very well during the prophet’s absence.

AJANAKU’S LAST HOURS

Prophet Ireti Ajanaku was confirmed dead on Thursday, August 22, 2013, by a team of doctors.  His corpse was deposited at the Military Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, on Friday, August 23, 2013.

He began his journey to the great beyond on Saturday, August 17, 2013, when he visited his family members at their family house popularly known as Owo Ope Family in Gbongan, Osun State.  He complained he was feeling feverish and went to sleep. However, after few hours, he ceased breathing.  Immediately, one of his siblings beckoned on their eldest brother, Senator Wale Ajanaku, who broke the news.

After few hours, Ireti Ajanaku suddenly jerked into consciousness and cried out thrice, “Thank you, Jesus,” and slipped into coma.  That fuelled the belief of his worshippers that he was not dead.  However, after five days of vigil chanting, ‘Wake up, wake up’ by his members, they gave up hope when doctors certified him dead on Thursday, August 22, 2013, and his corpse deposited at the morgue.
