Congrats, how does it feel to be a father?
It feels very good. It’s a wonderful feeling. I have never felt this happy and excited. I feel very responsible. I have someone who would be looking up to me. This feeling is beautiful that I can’t trade it for anything.
What has changed about you since then?
Nothing, it’s the same old me. I just have to run home faster to be with my kid. I have to buy gifts regularly. When I visit the mall, I need to keep looking out for things to buy for him. That’s the only basic change.
Were you with your wife in the labour room?
No, I was just as the door. I can’t even stand the trauma. If I were in the labour room the attention would have moved from her to me. I was praying at the door and telling her to push. If I were inside, maybe I would have even fainted.
What sex did you have in mind?
When my wife was about three months pregnant, we did a scan. It was a girl then we did another scan they said it was a boy. Then, we already got pink stuffs, we already painted the baby’s room pink. We had to pack all pink stuffs away and bought blue then we painted the room blue.
What’s your baby’s name?
Aviel Munachiso Emmanuel.
Did you decide the names before or after delivery?
We already decided the names before delivery.
How many more should we expect?
At least two more.
Sex?
Anyone, it’s God that decides that. So, anyone He gives me, I am okay with it. Boy or girl, I am fine with it.
What’s the name of the hospital your wife delivered?
It’s personal, I can’t tell you the name. All I know is she was well taken care of.
What’s the best thing about being a father?
Having a fine boy, your own blood. You can always use his picture as DP. I can’t explain it but it’s all beautiful. Now, I just got home, I am in his room and he is sleeping peacefully. I am so excited just looking at him.
