It is the dream of every young man to get married and have a beautiful family. It becomes worrisome when eligible and successful bachelors remain single. ENCOMIUM Weekly interviewed some eligible bachelors on marriage, success stories and plans for 2015.
‘Love is giving’ -STEVE ONU (YAW)
How would you rate your career over the years?
It has been a drastic growth, coming from nothing to something. It has been a systematic progress and I do not have any regret at all.
What are your plans for 2015?
My plan for this year is my yearly show that will come up on May 31, 2015, themed, The Past, Present and the Future. It is my yearly satire and this year, it is Okey Bakassi and I.
What does love mean to you?
For me sometimes, I want to see it as a baggage. Love is giving, sharing, it is not all about relationship.
At what age do you think a man should settle down?
It all depends on when the person is ready. There is no age at which one must get married. I know a man that got married at 21. He is almost 50 now and still married. I know another who got married at 31 and they are no longer together now. So, it is about maturity and not age.
Does being single bother you?
I don’t classify myself as that.
What do you expect from the woman you want to marry?
All I want is for her to be God sent and God fearing.

What are your plans for 2015?
Majorly in the production aspect, I would be producing more movies. I am also trying to build my brand to a bigger one.
What does love mean to you?
Love is deeper than what a lot of people think it is. It means compatibility, respect and understanding.
At what age do you think a man should settle down?
I don’t think we should attach age to it. At 23-24, some men are ready to settle down, while a man about 40 may not settle down.
Does being single bother you?
It does not bother me. Everybody has his or her own destiny. You can be single today and tomorrow you are married. It is not a matter of how early but how well. You may get married today and your marriage might be successful than someone that has been married for years.
What do you expect from the woman you want to marry?
She must have a very good character. She must look good and attractive as well. She must have what it takes to keep the home together.
How will you rate the success of your career over the years?
It’s had its fair share of ups and downs through highs and lows but the brand is still here 17 years after.

How would you rate the success of your career over the years?
I would say I’m getting to 100 percent very soon.
What are your plans for 2015?
I want my fans to see how versatile I am. I will also be dropping my single as well.
What does love mean to you?
To me, love means a lot of things. Love is going out of our way to do things for others just like what Jesus did for all mankind.
At what age do you think a man should settle down?
When the man is ready, there are a lot of things to put into consideration. Age may not be considered but maturity would.
Does being single bother you?
Being single, one should only get worried if it is getting too late but if you are still within the age range, there is nothing to be worried about.
What do you expect from the woman you want to marry?
She must be God fearing and respectful. She should be a professional in so many things, cooking, dress sense and others.
How would you rate the success of your career over the years?
It has been impressive over the years. There is no doubt that at some point you will look at yourself and say there is room for improvement.
