‘We walk our talk and finish strong’ – Amosun promises more democracy dividends

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has assured that politics will not slow down governance in the state.He reiterated the determination of his administration to complete all ongoing projects throughtout the state, saying it would work till the last day of it’s tenure.Amosun, who was speaking at the Executive Council meeting in his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta yesterday, said “politics will not slow us down as it is time to fully go back to work.

“The construction of the Ogun State Television (OGTV) complex, Ogere International market, the 250-bed ultra-modern hospital, Abeokuta City Centre, new Makun City and other road constructions would be completed and commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari come May 2019”, he added.According to him, although the international airport project in Wasimi may not be completed before the handover date, he would follow up with its execution when he returns to the Senate, despite that it is a Federal Government project.The governor, who appreciated the Executive Council members for their selfless contributions to the government’s rebuilding mission, said, “we will continue to work our talk and finish strong.

“Backing his words with action, Amosun thereafter embarked on inspection of some project sites in Abeokuta, the state capital, in company of members of his cabinet and Permanent Secretaries.One of the project sites visited was the Judiciary complex at Kobape, to house over 15 courts.Incidentally, the president performed the ground breaking of the complex, during the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the state in 2016.

Addressing press men after the inspection tour, Amosun said Buhari is expected to commission about 20 completed projects.
