The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson,DSP Kenneth Nwosu has confirmed the Wednesday,June 24,2015, terrible robbery which happened at Ebute Ipakodo, Ikorodu, Lagos,where about N80 million was reported to have been carted away by the deadly armed robbers who stormed the branches of both the Zenith Bank and First Bank in the area around 10 am.
In a phone chat with ENCOMIUMWeekly on Thursday,June 25,2015, Mr Nwosu said,”We visited the scene of the incident yesterday. It’s terrible.No life was claimed,but about three people were left injured.
“We’re not folding our arms.The incident will be thoroughly investigated.Even the police have announced N5 million reward for anybody with useful information that can lead to the arrest of the robbers.We will surely get them arrested soon.”
