Serial suspect, Alhaji Olanrewaju Oluwaseun Kazeem, popularly addressed as Seun Egbeegbe, will go straight from detention to Ikeja magistrate court tomorrow (Wednesday, February 8, 2017) to face the nine iPhone handsets theft charge.
Detained for attempting to swindle two bureau de change operators on Thursday, February 2, 2017, he has been under investigation in custody.
The music and movie promoter who dated super star actress, Toyin Aimakhu, according to Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, will be taken to court to face the offence he reportedly committed on November 22, 2016, at Computer Village in Ikeja (Lagos).
At 1:53 pm, SP Dolapo Badmos told encomium.ng, “The Police will produce him in court tomorrow“.
Egbeegbe had allegedly tried to steal the phones valued at N2.4 million before he was caught, battered and bloodied.
His excuse that he wanted to get the money in the car or the bank didn’t add up.
And arraigned for theft, it was shocking that barely two months later he attempted another heist. This time at Gbagada General Hospital where he pretended to be a doctor who needed forex.
He was accused of luring two bureau de change operators, along with his accomplice (Ayodele Oyekan), fleecing them of $9,000 and £3,000 (N6.3 million). He was caught while trying to flee.
Taken to Ogudu Area Command, he was later transferred to Lagos Police Command in Ikeja where he spent the weekend in detention.
And tomorrow, his iPhone theft case will be heard at Rosaline Omotoso court before magistrate A.J. Atunwa.
