In spite of public interest in the cause of death of Ronke Shonde, the 36 year old mother of two children allegedly killed by her husband of eight years (Lekan) who is in detention at Panti, Yaba, the Lagos Police Command is insisting that the autopsy report won’t be made public.
Those expecting a press conference on the report released to the police yesterday (Wednesday, May 18), may have to wait for a long time.
SP Dolapo Badmus, the command’s PPRO, reiterated this morning that the report is only for investigation, despite the believe that a conference would be held today (Thursday, May 19) to brief the press and confirm that Ronke Shonde actually died of myocardial infarction ad a result of acute respiratory distress syndrome, bruises and water in the head.
SP Badmus told encomium.ng this morning, ” The report is already with the command. It is for the purpose of investigation, and it will be treated as such”.
