Wealthy Africans spend £4million on London’s high end property every week – report

​​Super-rich Africans splurge up to £4 million (N1.04bn) on England’s capital, London’s high-end property weekly, according to a report by an estate agent (Beauchamp Estates).

The report further showed that in the past three years, £600million (N156bn) has been splashed in the London property market – with Nigerians emerging the biggest spenders, having forked out £250million (N65bn) on homes in the city in the last three years.

The estate agents said the Africans are, predominantly, from six countries, namely: Nigeria, Ghana, Congo, Gabon, Cameroon and Senegal; with billionaires – Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote and Folorunsho Alakija – emerging the biggest investors.
