West Ham pitch invader fined, gets praise from judge

A drunk fan who invaded the pitch to take a ‘free kick’ during the Premier League game between West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur was, yesterday (September 1), told by a judge that he ‘bent it like Beckham’.

Jordan Dunn, a lifelong West Ham supporter, ran onto the pitch and kicked the ball towards his team’s goal. He was fined £305, but was spared a football banning order after he pleaded guilty to the offence.

Despite gulping six pints that day, Dunn – from Kent – almost managed to score with the left footed strike, which was saved by goalkeeper Adrian.
