Oscar winning actor, Hoffman was troubled weeks before he died of drug over dose
Months before Phillip Seymour Hoffman, 46, died in his bathroom in New York, the United States of America, on Sunday, February 2, 2014, from heroin overdose, he had split from the mother of his three children – and was struggling to come to terms with the separation.
Hoffman who won Best Actor in 2005 for Capote left the $4.4 million home he shared with Mimi O’Donell and their children – Cooper, 10, Tallulah, 7 and Willa, 5.
At Sundance Film Festival in January, Hoffman was uptight and unfriendly, refusing to grant interviews and looking rough.
The actor was found in his bathroom on Sunday morning wearing shorts and T-shirt with a syringe laced with heroin struck on his arm.
