Briefly tell us your names and what you do?
Mother: My name is Ebere Omanufeme. I am into teaching and trading and this adorable child is my daughter.
Daughter: I am Omanufeme Orevaoghene Chiamaka, a pupil of Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Yaba, Lagos, and I am in JSS 2.
Tell us about your experience on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
Mother: I was on the programme three years ago and I won N1, 000,000, it was a beautiful experience to be on the hot seat and get questions from Frank Edohor and it was cool. The N1,000,000 was the coolest. I used the money for different stuff, turned it over and over again. It was good business.
Daughter: When I got the call from the producers of WWTBAM, I was anxious to go there because I needed to get money for my education and needed to be popular. Then for fastest fingers, I thought I would not make it but came out first in 5.56secs and got on the hot seat with uncle Frank. On the hot seat, I was tensed up. I was anxious to win much money. When I took a shot at the N2, 000,000 question I was not too sure, even after calling my uncle. I thought I would fail because I was not really sure, I had to walk away N1 million, which is now my prize.
So, how do you feel winning now?
Daughter: I feel okay, very excited, especially with the presence of the Deputy Governor of the State of Osun in the studio. We are grateful for her cash gifts to us. May God bless the Deputy Governor.
Mother: Yes, the deputy governor’s presence was splendid. Her gifts, a relief. We really appreciate her kind gesture. May God bless her.
Do you remember these winnings are for your education?
Daughter: Yes, I know. For my education exclusively.
What is your advice to people watching at home?
Mother: This is to all parents out there, let us allow our children to engage in meaningful interaction. Let them read and participate in competitions like this. It helps, financially, academically and so on. Thank you MTN, thank you Ultima Studios. Thanks to all the crew, they have a way of making you feel cool here. Come and experience it. Thank you.
Daughter: To children like me, read wide. If you read, you will pass, if you don’t read, you won’t pass, and you won’t win money for scholarship.
That’s my advice and thank you to the producers, Ultima Studios and the crew.
