Why did Evans plead guilty to kidnapping?

The most notorious, craftiest and richest kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onuamadike, popularly known as Evans, pleaded guilty today (Wednesday, August 30, 2017) before Justice Hakeem Oshodi of Lagos High Court, Ikeja.

The surprise plea is the source of excitement as the smart kidnapper shocked all.
Arraigned with four men and a woman, the case was adjourned to October 19 as the suspects were remanded in Kirikiri Prisons (Apapa, Lagos).
Keen observers have listed reasons why the gang leader chose the quick route:
1. He wants to show he’s a man, as he stands by his deeds.
2. He’s plotting to save his wife and children as the woman is clearly culpable.
3. The evidence against him are so weighty and foolproof that it will be difficult to walk away.
4. He’s seeking less penalty as a guilty plea maybe a catalyst.
