anita3What was your biggest challenge and how did you face it?

People sometimes have a wrong perception of you because of some roles you have played. But as a result of awareness, people have realized that it is a make-believe. When some fans meet me, they are shocked to find out who Anita really is. I am very different from what I act on TV. A girl met me on set one day, about three years ago, she was kept in my room in the hotel till there was room the next day. She referred to a movie I did with Ini Edo. In Bandid Queen, my brother raped her through still I testified against him. I was very mean in that movie. I had to talk to her about it.

Later, she apologized, but she refused to come back to the room because she didn’t believe it. After I insisted, she came in and for two hours she didn’t say a word to me, even as I spoke to her. At some point, her friend called her and she started crying while talking about me that Anita is not like that. She apologized for the things she read about me and saw on TV.

What does love mean to you?

Love is God and God is love.

Why has it been difficult for you to get married?

That is not so important. Marriage will happen when it will happen.

So, what are the qualities of the man you want to spend the rest of your life with?

It hasn’t been difficult to get married, just that marriage is not a union you rush. Marriage is like an everlasting institution. So, I want to be ready.
