‘Why I defected to PDP’ – Ogun lawmaker, Hon. Adijat Adeleye

‘We wish her goodluck’ – APC
Ogun lawmaker representing Ifo Constituency II and chairman, Committee on House Service, Hon. Adeleye Oladapo Motunrayo Adijat, who recently decamped to People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), has explained the reason she took the decision.
Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly a couple of days back, the pretty politician said the need to move forward informed her action, which can only be achieved on the platform of PDP.
“It’s true I have defected to PDP. Even, a letter in respect of that has been submitted few days ago. I discovered there is need for me to move forward. Now, I am planning to go for House of Representatives seat come in 2015. And the only party left for me to achieve that is PDP. So, that’s the reason I quit APC.”
Reacting to the development, APC’s spokesman, Mr. Sola Lawal said that the defection of Adeleye has nothing to do with the success of the party in 2015 general elections in the state. He, however, wished her well in her future political endeavours.
“What do you want me to say about that? That does not affect the success of our party in the state come 2015. We wish her good luck.”
