What kind of music do you do?
I do soul rap. Music is what I love to do, and I’ve been doing it professionally for over eight years now. At the moment, I’m into the business of entertainment, I’m an entrepreneur.
Tell us about your new hit single?
Before now, I had released four hit tracks namely, School Days, Women Indiscipline, Power of Lyrics and Megnut. Now I’ve just released two new singles entitled Hypocrisy and Kata Kata. Most of the songs are social conscious that make people keep in touch with the reality of what is happening around them.
What inspires your kind of music?
I just don’t sing what comes to my mind, I sing about things that matter, things that evoke feelings. I once sang about my life when I used to be a bit radically and stubborn. So, over time, my songs have been proven and tested to change lives if you listen to it consciously.
At what point did you decide music is what you’ll do?
I decided to do music when I quit my job at the bank, I worked in the bank for five years and I just didn’t see any future in it , that was when I decided to quit and embrace my passion which is music and entertainment.
How would you rate yourself in the Nigerian music industry?
I see myself on top of the game not only in Nigeria but in the whole of Africa, because my kind of music is unique. I stand out and I’ve paid my dues in the industry, and over time, some artistes have seen me as a threat and force to reckon with. Most of them sing about me in their songs, but I won’t mention names.
What stands your music out?
What stands my music out is the fact that I connect with reality. I sing about real life situations which is easy for everybody to follow.
