I have been in music for the past 18 years, but professionally since 2009.

How do you get inspiration for your songs?

God is my source of inspiration.

You are releasing a single, tell us about it?

Oh Africa is the first single that was released but I have a new one, Got the Money. It has just been released. I am looking at releasing an album before the end of the year or early next year.

What inspired Got the Money?

The message is not about having all the money in the world. It’s about a lady who chose the man with the highest amount of money. I am trying to say that once you have your money, you will be able to get all the good things of life.

How do you think Ellyman will breakthrough and make his mark in the music industry?

The industry has a lot of artistes but I believe in being myself. I believe in keeping it real without selling out.

Any plans of doing collaborations?

I want to work with 2Face. Not only because we are from the same state, but because we are from the same rhythm and we both sing inspirational songs. His music has made a lot of impact in my life.
