Why pleading guilty is Evans’ best option

The trial of the craftiest, richest and most wanted kidnapper, Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike, should be short, if he pleads guilty to the charges of armed robbery and kidnapping he will eventually face.
Since he has made several confessions, the 36 year old kingpin popularly called Evans should be courageous enough to admit guilt and save the court time, energy and resources in a long winding trial.

The best option will be for him to plead guilty on the following grounds:

1. He stands a good chance of being better treated by prosecution and the judiciary.
And there may be some concession for him.

2. He won’t waste money on lawyers.
3. Since most of his offences were committed before Governor Akinwunmi Ambode signed the Anti-kidnapping Act in February 2017, he may be lucky to escape death penalty.
But what about the armed robbery cases where people died?
