‘Why we are partnering Glo on Evergreen Series’ – Guinness, Arik

Top Nigerian companies, Guinness and Arik Air, have explained why they are partnering with national telecoms operator, Globacom, in holding the Glo Evergreen Series, the KSA Edition.

Master guitarist and one of Africa’s greatest music maestros, Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye popularly known as King Sunny Ade is the star attraction at the Glo Evergreen Series slated for February 28 at Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos on February 28. He will be supported by the, Koko master D’banj and one of Africa’s best saxophonists, Yemi Sax.

Both companies said they are teaming up with Globacom on the concert not only to celebrate the legends but also to also contribute to efforts to revitalise Nigerian music.

According to Arik, “Globacom is a truly Nigerian telecommunications company, so is Arik, a truly Nigerian Airline. We are very excited to be part of the project from the inception. We share the commitment to promote the best of Nigerian music and this is evident in Arik Air’s support for the Glo Evergreen Series, which debuted last September with ‘An Evening with the Great Commander, Chief Ebenezer Obey’. In this series, we are celebrating yet another great Nigerian Legend, the King of World Beats, Juju Maestro and Master Guitarist, King Sunny Ade (KSA)”.

The airline stated further that, “This is another laudable initiative by Globacom and Arik Air is again happy and proud to be part of this historic event. This is yet another gathering of stars from various fields of endeavour and it is an evening to cherish “.

On its part, Guinness, the brewery giant, expressed it’s commitment to enriching the communities in which it operates, adding that it plays a leading role in the socio-economic development of its host communities.
