A woman convicted of starving her girlfriend’s nine-year-old son to death ten years ago, was yesterday (September 17) in Texas, executed by lethal injection.
38-year-old Lisa Ann Coleman was sentenced to be executed over the death of Davontae Williams – whose emaciated body, weighing just 16kg, was found in July 2004. She is only the 15th woman to be executed since the high court allowed the death penalty to resume in 1976.
