A Polish woman who spent 11 hours in cold storage in a mortuary has astonished mortuary staff and relatives after she woke up and returned home in Ostrow Lubelski, Poland on Thursday, November 6.
91-year-old Janina Kolkiewicz had been declared dead by the family doctor. However, morgue staff noticed movement in her body bag while it was in storage. When she was unzipped, she complained of feeling cold, otherwise she was ‘fine’.
The reports only emerged in the local media yesterday (Thursday, November 13) and the police have since launched an investigation.
