Woman sues Google over Street View image showing exposed breast

A woman who sued Google for publishing an image of her with one of her breasts partially exposed on its map service Street View has been awarded damages.

A Canadian court found that the company had invaded Maria Pia Grillo’s privacy, despite Google blurring out her face in the image. Ms Grillo said, however, that she was identifiable by her car’s registration plate.

According to court documents she was shocked and embarrassed when she stumbled across the photograph while looking at an image of her house in Montreal in 2009.
