Users of popular pay TV, Star times are set to embark on an unending adventure with the premiere of a Yoruba drama series “Alagbara”.
The most anticipated series was premiered on Sunday, Nov 15, 2018 at Classique Event Place on Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun. The event which was well attended by Nollywood bigwigs most especially the Yoruba movie genre celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba’s.
Alagbara is a 26 episode series focusing on power, influence, manipulative abilities of women. It also addresses the diverse societal issues and entails lessons for everyone from all walks of life.
Speaking at the event, CEO of StarTimes Justin Zhang stated “Alagbara is the first production to be commissioned by any country branch of Star Times. I feel very proud to be associated with the Yoruba Language and its deep cultural heritage. The aim of the series is to take Yoruba language globally while teaching key lessons to viewers around Africa. More than 13 million African homes and 10 million users of Startimes ON and our Mobile App will get the opportunity to enjoy the drama series.

ced and reshaped by the women in their lives. The drama series was produced by Alhaji Adebayo Salami popularly known as Oga Bello.
